Premier League instead of LaLiga, Chelsea instead of Real Madrid: Mateo Kovacic is happy with his move and talks about differences.

After making his Premier League debut for Chelsea, Mateo Kovacic has compared the English top floor to Spain's LaLiga, where he has played for Real Madrid for the past three years.

"Football in the Premier League is faster, you have more depth in the game. That's the biggest difference to LaLiga, "said Kovacic after the Blues' 3-2 win in the London derby against Arsenal on Saturday Sport Club TV. The 24-year-old Croatian, who was on loan from Real for a year to Chelsea, came on for Ross Barkley in the 60th minute.

He also commented on his move to Stamford Bridge: "After three years without regular playing time in Madrid it was important for me to find a team and a coach who really want me. I have that at Chelsea, "said the midfielder.

Chelsea's new coach Maurizio Sarri, who came to London from Naples during the summer break, has a style of play that Kovacic likes: "He has known me for a long time and I've watched a lot of his games. He loves making the game, the team is great. There are a lot of great players here and I don't think it will be difficult for me to find myself."

Kovacic moved from Inter Milan to Real in 2015, but had never been able to fight for a regular place with the reigning Champions League winner. His contract with Los Blancos runs until 2021.

Is there still a chance Kovacic will return to Real Madrid?
