Armored Mewtwo's tank is quite stylish, but that's not the only difference between it and the normal Mewtwo. Each one masters different attacks - the normal Mewtwo learns many attacks, which are special attacks in the Pokémon RPGs, while Mewtwo in armor learns many attacks that are physical attacks. The two behave differently in combat - the regular Mewtwo can deal damage like no other, but it also suffers more, while Mewtwo is much more stable in armor, but has weaker attacks. Because of this, the normal mewtwo is often a better choice for raid battles and armored mewtwo for trainer battles.

Mewtwo and Mewtwo in armor can only use the psycho-charge attack Psychostrike if they are caught during special events. Is it worth using power-ups on Mewtwo or Mewtwo in armor who have mastered psycho-shock if you already have one that is not familiar with this attack? If you want to inflict severe psycho-type damage, the answer is an overwhelming “yes” - in the course of a fight, psychic shock does far more damage than psychokinesis and seers.

Take advantage of Mewtwo's weaknesses. The best Pokémon to fight Mewtwo and Mewtwo in armor are those that naturally inflict high damage and can take advantage of Mewtwo's weakness against beetle, ghost and dark attacks. Gengar, Snibunna, Giratina in the original form, Darkrai, Skelabra and Trikephalo, as well as Mewtwu, who masters the haunted ball, are particularly suitable. Many of these Pokémon are rather rare, but don't worry if you need to complete your team with less rare attackers of these types. Many other Pokémon too, e.g. B. Pinsir and Despotar, the CP of Mewtwo and Mewtwo in armor can quickly pull into passion.

Don't worry about the weather. Against many raid bosses, the weather can play a role, but against Mewtwo and Mewtwo in armor this is not the case. Ghost and dark attacks are both amplified by fog, so you never have to choose one type or the other because of the weather conditions. Bug attacks are stronger in the rain, but it's unlikely that this reinforcement would be enough to add Bug Pokémon to your team instead of your best ghost and dark attackers.

If you defeat Mewtwo or Mewtwo in armor, you will be given a limited number of Premier Balls and you will have to use them to catch it. So make sure that you do your best with every throw. Fighting with your friends can earn you extra Premier Balls, so be sure to bring friends. Using a golden raspberry before each throw increases the chances of success significantly. You can stock up on them beforehand by defeating other raid bosses.

The chances of catching a Pokémon are greatest when the scope of the target ring is small enough to land a fabulous throw. A curveball can also increase your chances. But don't be too ambitious - if you are not sure that you can reliably throw fabulous curveballs, try to land good or great throws rather than risking missing the target ring entirely.

If your target moves you will be wasting your premier balls throwing. Wait until it goes wild and the target ring disappears. Then, fine-tune your throw so that when the Pokémon stops moving, the Premier Ball hits and the target ring just reappears.
