Which Ford Mustang has the most horsepower
Ford Mustang (2019): All versions of the model range
The current sixth generation Ford Mustang has been on the market since 2014. The car has also been officially on the market in Germany since summer 2015. It has therefore taken almost exactly 50 years since the first Mustang was presented in 1964 before the pony car was also available from us. It was a success: in 2018 it sold around 3,100 times in Germany, which is about as much as the Porsche Cayman and Boxster bring together.
More about the Mustang:
In 2018, the Mustang (as a fastback and a two-seat convertible) received a facelift. Above all, the 3.7-liter V6 engine with 305 was taken out of the range and replaced by a 450-hp 5.0-liter V8. In addition, there is still the (less popular) 2.3-liter turbo gasoline engine with four cylinders and 290 hp. In addition, the Mustang received a 12-inch instrument display and, as an alternative to the six-speed manual transmission, a new ten-speed automatic transmission, which can also be operated using paddle shifters as standard.
The two engines differ in terms of torque: the four-cylinder delivers 440 Newton meters at 3,000 rpm, the V8 529 Newton meters at 4,400 rpm. The difference in performance is greater. Accordingly, the four-cylinder Fastback with automatic sprints to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds, but the corresponding V8 variant in 4.3 seconds.
The model range is clear:
|2.3 Ecoboost 290 PS circuit||39,900 euros||44,000 euros|
|2.3 Ecoboost 290 PS automatic||42,400 euros||46,900 euros|
|5.0 Ti-VCT V8 450 HP circuit||47,000 euros||51,500 euros|
|5.0 Ti-VCT V8 450 PS automatic||49,500 euros||54,000 euros|
The two engines also differ slightly in terms of equipment: The mustang-Equipment of the Ecoboost version includes the LED headlights, 19-inch aluminum wheels, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, electric window lifters (on the Fastback only at the front, on the convertible also at the rear), rear parking beeper, reversing camera, a keyless entry and start system , Leather seats, an electric front seat adjustment, a heated leather steering wheel, a two-zone automatic air conditioning, a CD radio, the instrument display mentioned, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a cruise control, a lane departure warning system and an anti-collision system. The GT-Equipment of the V8 variant also offers Brembo brakes and a flap-controlled exhaust system, other rims with mixed tires and, in the shift version, launch control.
Optionally, for example, adaptive dampers ("Magne Ride"Chassis), Recaro sports seats and seat air conditioning are also available, and there are also four premium equipment packages, all of which include a navigation system and an audio system from Bang & Olufsen.
The trunk of the 4.79 meter long Mustang holds 408 liters for the Fastback and 332 liters for the convertible.
As a special model, there is still the Mustang Bullitt based on the Fastback with V8 engine and manual transmission for 53,000 euros. Originally there was also an optional automatic version, but the Ford configurator no longer allows this choice with the Bullitt. You are also limited when it comes to the exterior color, there are only dark green and black. The Bullitt's V8 has an extra 10 hp, i.e. 460 hp. That's two percent.
